Half way through the first week

Today is Wednesday and Courtny and I finished teaching our second lesson already. I enjoy the 5th grade class were in. Our teacher is a very passionate teacher which is intimidating however, I know by having her as I'm first field experience teacher it will be less intimidating for the other field experiences. The first lesson we taught was about The First Thanksgiving and we were able to use a primary source (a letter John Widstoe wrote about the first "thanksgiving"). Our second lesson was today which entailed and art project. We taught the students stencilling because the students are studying the colonial era and stencilling was known as the "poor man wall paper." Courtny and I taught half of the class while our teacher taught the other half a different lesson and then we switched. It was a bit chaotic but it went well. My field experience has been good just a little chaotic. I hope everyone elses' field experience is going great too.

Good luck with all the "intensity". I know that can be a bit intimidating but it sounds like you guys are doing a good job.

I'm glad it is going well, sometimes when we are intimidated we get nervous but is sounds like you are doing fine and learning a lot from your cooperating teacher. I hope she isn't too intimidating. What happen that the transition from you two teaching to your cooperating teacher teaching?
Good luck next week I hope it goes smoothly.
